2014 Mitsubishi Attrage and Mirage have UAE launch party
Al Habtoor Motors, the UAE dealer for Mitsubishi, held a “launch” party today for the 2014 editions of the Attrage sedan and the Mirage hatchback.
The Thai-built Mirage has been on sale since last year and the Attrage has been in showrooms for the last few months, so it wasn’t exactly a launch party, but they were keen to highlight certain aspects of the two cars, or more specifically, the cabin space and cargo volume. They were certainly spacious for such small cars, from our brief look. Both are powered by 1.2-litre 3-cylinder engines mated to a CVT automatic.
The cars are currently on special offer, with the 2014 Mirage starting at Dhs 36,900 and the Attrage at Dhs 39,400.

The attrage is so prone to lateral wind that the driver feels like he’s stuck in a washing machine…miserable to drive on a highway

These cars actually are targeted at the budget end of the market here where performance and handling is not of any concern neither are wind noise, also these are basically city run around cars.
And these cars enjoy a good following in markets like Brazil, Thailand & India (soon it will be launched there.
Hence, some of the above comments are just out of place.

still… it is a scooter with an umbrella
I hate to see any one get wacked in 4×4 collision in these tin cans

I look forward to a review on Mirage. Apparently, the car is mechanically and technologically stuck in 90’s. 90’s were exciting!

we have attrage/ g4 cvt and the performance is good despite of its 1.2 3 cylinder engine displacement.
Im satisfied with the fuel efficiency and it can even exceed its ideal consumption of 21km/l.
the highest i got was 26km/l at average speed between 70 to 80km highway run. at city, between 13 to 15km/l
its downfall, body roll, road and wind noise are very obvious

that must be a successor to lancer, it would be more fun to drive if it was rear wheel drive 😀
