2015 Hyundai Sonata officially revealed
After all the teaser images and spyshots, Hyundai have officially taken the wraps off the new 2015 Sonata.
The new Hyundai Sonata’s design has been toned-down a bit, following the company’s new “Fluidic Sculpture 2.0” design concept. The 4-door sedan is an inch longer and wider than the outgoing model. The body rigidity is also said to be stronger than the previous generation, with 41 % greater torsional strength and 35 % bigger bending strength, thanks to high-strength steel which is composed in half of the body structure.
Three 4-cylinder engines have been revealed for the Korean market. A 2.0-litre CVVL engine producing 168 hp and 201 Nm of torque, a 2.4-litre GDi unit with 193 hp and 247 Nm of torque and a 2.0-litre LPi motor rated at 151 hp and 194 Nm. The GCC region is likely to get the 2.4-litre GDi unit only.
Interior space is also said to have improved, with more premium quality materials added. Other features include heated and vented front seats, as well as heated rear seats, electric rear window blind and rear side curtain blinds. An 8-inch touchscreen display is available with support for USB, iPod and Bluetooth connectivity as well as smartphone integration.
The 2015 Hyundai Sonata should be available in showrooms of UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries by this summer.
Keep track of the latest prices and updates in the Hyundai Sonata buyer guide.

My goodness, why in the world would Hyundai want to look like a KIA for god sakes? Absolutely ridiculous, this one doesn’t have the charm of a Hyundai anymore. Shame!
