Honda showed off the new Civic Type R Concept at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. First revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show a few months ago, the Type R Concept features an aggressive body kit and turbocharged engine, with the Honda design team calling it a “racing car on the road”.

The body kit consists of a front splitter, side skirts, a rear diffuser and a huge rear wing. It also gets some LED-infused headlights, a ventilated hood and a quad-exhaust system.

Under the hood will be a 4-cylinder 2.0-litre turbocharged unit producing at least 276 hp. Honda claims their 2013 return to the World Touring Car Championship has been instrumental in gathering knowledge that has helped shape the new Type R, providing the development team with analysis and feedback on performance and styling collected from the track.
