Suzuki shows off iV-4 concept at Frankfurt

Suzuki iV-4 Concept
It’s bold, it’s tall, it’s a Suzuki and certainly not a Grand Vitara. But the signs are right from Suzuki, as they have officially shown off their iV-4 concept at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Aimed at the compact SUV segment, the iV-4 will be pitted against the likes of the Mazda CX-5, Subaru Forester, Volkswagen Tiguan and a flurry of similar four-wheelers.

The body will be comparable to the above mentioned SUVs as well, with an overall length of 4,215mm and a wheelbase of 2,500 mm. It will also ride on 20-inch tires.

The iV-4, according to Suzuki when revealed officially in the market, is expected to be a lightweight SUV, with four-wheel drive and equipped with ALLGRIP. Furthermore, in the name iV-4, the “i” stands for “individuality”, “v” for vehicle and “4” for “four-wheel drive”.

There’s no word when the production version of the iV-4 will be revealed or the actual name of the SUV. But we’re hoping to see the final product soon, as the Suzuki Grand Vitara has been with us for over 8 years now and it needs a much need change.
