Fiat shows off Panda 4×4 Antarctica to celebrate 30 years of existence
It sure is hard to believe that the Fiat Panda has finished three-decades of existence as a 4×4 alongside the likes of giant SUVs and CUVs, still maintaining its cute Panda-ish face and tall boy looks. In any case, the Fiat Panda 4×4 Antartica edition was unveiled at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The Antartica edition Panda is based on the Panda 4×4 Rock, only set aside thanks to its two-tone bodywork – white with a black roof – as well as grey diamond finish 15-inch alloy rims with orange hub caps. There’s also fog lights, privacy windows, orange mirror fairings and a special badge on the central pillar.
The limited edition Panda will be powered by a 0.9-litre TwinAir Turbo engine producing 85 hp alongside a 1.3-litre MultiJet II 75 hp diesel engine. Both the variants will be fitted with the Start and Stop system.
Again, like most of Fiat’s flagship vehicles, the Panda 4×4 Antartica edition may not make it to the GCC market. But the European market is expected to get the limited edition Panda by the end of this year.
