2014 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG in Frankfurt
Mercedes-Benz has officially unveiled the S63 AMG at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, which also lay witness to the German brand’s own S-Class Coupe.
And despite the fact that the S63 AMG will not be the top-dog in the lineup, it will still be powered by a 5.5-litre twin-turbocharged V8 which produces a seemingly monstrous 577 hp and an eye-popping 900 Nm of torque. That’s a whole 41 hp more than the predecessor. The engine will be coupled with an AMG tuned 4Matic all-wheel drive system and an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission too.
And all that juice helps the S63 AMG manage from 0-100 kph in a mere 3.9 seconds, and it will go all the way to an electronically limited 300 kph. Oh, if this isn’t insane enough, wait for the S65 AMG.
There’s a lot more than the figures though, as Mercedes-Benz has gone forward and cut an impressive 100 kg from the overall weight. There’s also an AMG sports exhaust system with logic- controlled exhaust flaps that produces the desired sound according to the situation.
The exterior is also all AMG inspired, despite the fact that it looks less aggressive than its predecessor. It still has the angry looking air-intakes, and an upright and distinctive radiator grill. It rides on optional 19-inch or 20-inch light-weight alloys too.
The 2014 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG is due to go on sale in the US by November. So, we can expect the car to enter UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the rest of the GCC by the start of next year.

Hope that one day I can afford it.

Love this car.
To be honest though I hate the steering wheel for it looks really cheap.
