Tata shows off Xenon Tuff Truck Concept in Australia
It’s funny, but many wouldn’t know that Tata’s Xenon pickup trucks have been on sale in the GCC for quite some time now. Sure, that’s probably because it has been overshadowed by the big players such as the Toyota Hilux and Nissan Pickup. Nevertheless, Tata could well be back in the game if they put into the production the Xenon Tuff Truck.
The Tuff Truck is essentially Tata’s way of attracting people in Australia after a cancelled Melbourne Motor Show. It was shown off in Australia’s National 4×4 and Outdoors Show and Fishing and Boating Expo a few weeks back.
But despite the concept tag, the Tuff Truck is just a standard Xenon, fitted with bigger wheels and equivalent tires, an intake snorkel, off-road lights and a flush rear bumper with integrated D-rings. There’s also LED’s upfront and a matte gray paint color, which gives the Tuff Truck a tougher stance.
Reports suggest that the Tata Xenon Tuff Truck Concept is not intended for production anytime soon. So what we’ll be getting in the UAE and other select GCC countries will be the regular Tata Xenon for some more time. If it doesn’t make it here, we hope they would at least put some of these upgrades on the options list.

The euro 4 Tata Xenon is better than the current euro 5 Tata Xenon. With better suspension, steering, less engine noise, check out the euro 4 Tata Xenon at Upton Motors ask for Geoff and tell him Steve sent you for a better deal. Cheers
