Renault Fluence 2013 facelift on sale in UAE & GCC

2013 Renault Fluence 2
The “new” 2013 Renault Fluence, which underwent a minor external facelift for this year, is now on sale in the UAE as well as across the GCC.

Imported from Korea, unfortunately the GCC-spec facelift is a whole lot milder than the Renault Fluence that debuted in Europe earlier, with design cues from the Koleos rather than the Sport Clio.

The Fluence is now available with a “new” 112 hp 1.6-litre 4-cylinder engine, as well as the existing 143 hp 2.0-litre, both mated to a CVT automatic. While power output remains the same on the smaller engine, we assume it may have some sort of fuel-economy improvement.

The New Renault Fluence continues to be among the most spacious cars in the compact segment, with possibly class-leading rear legroom and one of the biggest boot volumes.

Available cabin features include hands-free mobile phone connectivity and audio streaming music with Bluetooth or USB/AUX connection, a 4x20W audio system with a three-line display and an MP3-compatible CD player, and steering wheel controls. A 3D Arkamys is fitted on LE trim levels, with a Bose premium stereo available as an option. Other features include a hands-free key card for no-touch locking as well as push-button ignition. On the higher equipment levels, there is a parking assist system with four rear-parking sensors. Another feature is the automatic parking brake, which applies itself as soon as the ignition is turned off and released once the engine is running again.

The 2013 Renault Fluence offers standard ABS with electronic brake force distribution, emergency brake assist, three-point front safety belts with pretensioners and load limiters, driver and front passenger airbags, three-point Isofix child seat anchorage for the outer rear seats and projector headlights. Available as standard or optional, depending on equipment level, are stability control (ESP) with understeer control, and front-side airbags as well as front-rear curtain airbags.

The Renault Fluence has a starting price of Dhs 54,500 in the UAE.
