2013 Nissan GT-R performance details released

It may look exactly the same but Nissan have made tweaks to the new 2013 GT-R on the performance side. They have supposedly improved engine response and made the handling even sharper.

Under the hood, the heart still remains the same in the four-wheel drive GT-R with the twin-turbocharged 3.8-litre V6 engine producing 542 hp. New high output injectors have been added to the engine to improve mid-range and high-end rpm response. A new relief valve helps to reduce the rapid decrease of forced induction pressure from the turbochargers, thereby improving response.

For lowering the centre of gravity of the GT-R, suspension tweaks have been made, with changes to the dampers, springs and front anti-roll bars. New cam bolts have been added to the front to improve camber accuracy and stability during cornering.

The 2013 Nissan GT-R should hit the showrooms in UAE, Saudi Arabia and GCC in the beginning of next year.

Keep track of prices and updates in the Nissan GT-R buyer guide.
