Range Rover 2013-2014 photos leaked ahead of reveal

The next-generation 2013-2014 Range Rover has been spotted all around the world, including on the streets of Dubai, under mild camouflage, so much so that we can already guess what the new model will look like. For those with no imagination, various sites had published leaked images of the all-new Range Rover a day before it was officially revealed.

The new Range Rover, to be labelled as 2013 in Europe and 2014 in the United States, is said to be larger that before to offer from rear-seat legroom, while also using aluminium extensively in its body structure to save weight. Aside from a carryover supercharged 5.0-litre V8, it is also expected to have a new entry-level supercharged 3.0-litre V6 sourced from Jaguar, although final specifications will be released in September at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.

On sale from September 2012 in many markets with customer deliveries scheduled to start from early 2013, the all-new Range Rover will be on the streets of the GCC by early next year.

Keep track of UAE updates in the Range Rover buyer guide.

Comments

  1. remind you of the 2012 Ford Explorer’s lights?

  2. Evoque’s big daddy

  3. JUDGE IN THE COURTROOM WOULD GO MAD SOLVING TECHNOLOGY CASES SUCH AS THE iPhone and SAMSUNG
AND NOW RANGE ROVER AND FORD EXPLORER

  4. “For those with no imagination…” – Why the unnecessary negativity ? I like the humour in your articles but have noticed an increasing use of words/phrases totally out of place in a journalistic piece. Anyways, your site is still the only real place for auto info in the middle east. Keep up the good work !

  5. Umm.. I think a lot of hate mails are heading Ratan Tata’s way real soon.

  6. looks like the 2012 ford explorer :O

  7. looks okay and thanks to the team who dint not bring any major changes to the body which would look terrible

  8. Mixture of the evoque n the ford explorer (tail lights)
Not a BAD change though. Will still sell like hot cakes!!!

  9. Not to different from the previous model…but i hope the fuel economy goes up at least 20-30%.

A V6 version makes sense, and it might move, but why do i get the feeling its going to feel mighty under powered if its going to use the stock one from Jaguar.

The 2.0L unit in the Evoque produces around 245hp, while the 3.0L V6 in Jag is rated for only 235hp. Hoping that they offer modified version of the same engine with a higher output or a supercharged version hitting around 330hp would be just plain awesome.

  10. New updates:

    1. The body structure is going to be 39% lighter, thanks to the expansive use of aluminum. This should amount to 430kg decrease in curb weight. 100kg on average reduces approx 0.5L / 100 km.

    2. 2nd generation of Land Rover’s Terrain Response system is a sure bet

    3. About 118mm more rear space

  11. it looks boring now

  12. If a shark and a Ford Flex magically had a baby, this is what it would look like. Killer interior though.

  13. This might just be a major flop…

  14. Eh mmda…. I think it lost its former stately, and even placed false gills on the door, what is it? american style or chines infection?

  15. Guess what the the new V6 Range Rover is going to churn out.

The new supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 makes 340 hp and 332 lb-ft. The non-supercharged 5.0L will be dropped and replaced with supercharged 3.0L V6.

Adding to that, all models are being upgraded with the 8 speed automatic.

Fuel figures for the V6 is expected to be around
    16/25 or better put around 11.5L / 100km combined.

While fuel figures for the Supercharged 5.0L V8 is 15/23 or approx 12.5L / 100km.

The looks may not be the best, but there is some serious improvement in the new models.
