BMW Motorrad bikes get standard ABS for 2013

For those who didn’t know, BMW also makes motorcycles. The BMW Motorrad division has made a few changes to its 2013 range, the most important being that all of their bikes worldwide will come with ABS as standard now.

The gesture comes three years ahead the European Union’s 2016 requirement that all motorcycles sold there need to have ABS. Beyond that, BMW has developed other technology for motorcycles tha will make its way throughout the range eventually, such as electronic suspension adjustment, automatic stability control, dynamic traction control and adaptive headlights.

The 2013 models will be available in dealerships this summer. BMW motorcycles are also available at BMW dealers in the UAE, Qatar and other GCC countries.
