Jaguar Heritage Racing to revive Jaguar’s racing spirits

For the British carmaker Jaguar, this week marks the most important day along their journey. After decades of being in the hiding, the leaping-cat is making a comeback into the competitive arena through historic motorsports, giving birth to the Jaguar Heritage Racing programme.

The new programme will see the classic C-type and D-type Jaguars participate in competitions such as the Mille Miglia in Italy, Nürburgring AVD Oldtimer Grand prix at Germany, and Goodwood Revival at Great Britain. The Jaguar Heritage Racing team will be operated and managed by JD Classics, the classic car specialists who would also be preparing the racing cars for action.

Back in the days, Jaguar has had a rich history of racing, winning several events including seven victories on different occasions in the well-known Le Mans race. Whist the comeback is limited to the classic motorsport events for now, this may just be the first step of the leaping-cat’s intents for a full-on return into the world of motorsports.
