Lexus LX 570 facelift launched in UAE as 2012 model

The facelifted Lexus LX 570 debuted in the United States recently as the 2013 model, but the luxury full-size 4×4 has just been officially launched in the UAE, as a 2012 model.

The most obvious changes being a new front clip with HID low-beam headlights and LED running lamps, other new features include a new hard-drive navigation system with touchscreen and voice control, a choice of 18-inch or 20-inch alloy wheels, new choices of wood trim, new instrument gauges and a hilariously-named “Overturn Assist” feature, but it apparently is a system to make tighter turns somehow.

Power remains the same, with a carryover 362 hp 5.7-litre V8, mated to an automatic with all-wheel-drive that includes low-range gearing and crawl control.

UAE prices are currently pegged at Dhs 342,000, and topping out at Dhs 398,000. The 2012 LX 570 should become available in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman and other GCC countries as well soon, if not already.

Keep track of updates in the Lexus LX buyer guide.

  1. This fat SUV is extremely underpowered compared to competitors at its price range! I hate you Lexus …

  2. Hi,
I am in interested in buying the 2012 Lexus GX 460. Can you kindly advise me if the fuel specification for the GCC model is the same as the US model. I understand there are some differences.
    Thanks.
