Nissan Tiida, Pathfinder, Armada recall in the UAE
In its third biggest worldwide recall ever, Nissan is “voluntarily” recalling 2.14 million vehicles around the globe for an engine stall defect. Around 15,000 cars in the UAE are also affected.
The issue involves a faulty ignition relay that could cause the engine to stall or fail to restart. The fix is reported to take less than half an hour, and involves swapping out the faulty ignition relay for a new one.
This recall affects vehicles built around the world from August 2003 to July 2006 only. Japan has 835,000 cars recalled, with the United States and Canada having 762,000 cars in total. Nine recalled models include everything from the tiny European Micra to the American Titan truck.
In the GCC, recalled vehicles apparently include the Nissan Tiida, Nissan Pathfinder, Nissan Armada and Infiniti QX56 from the 2006 model year only.

I have bought a used Nissan Pathfinder 2002, USA make, which had been imported to Oman in 2008. Now the NPF is in the workshop having problem with the engine control module; the auto electrician says that no earthing to ECM. The problem started one day, all on a sudden the vehicle did not start. What could be the real problem and what is the solution? Kindly help me.
