Jaguar celebrates 75th anniversary in Dubai
For three quarters of a century, the name Jaguar has been synonymous with being at the forefront of style, fashion and flair. Last night’s 75th anniversary celebration, held at Al Tayer Showroom on Sheikh Zayed Rd, was no exception.
Dubai’s elite rubbed shoulders on the black carpet to the tunes of the Afif Jazz band and DJ Matt Charles from Hed Kandi whilst perusing the bespoke art installations depicting the evolution of visual art and Jaguar design across the decades.
75 years of Jaguar history and style were bought to life through a display of classic cars, namely the 1964 Daimler Mark 2 and the 1956 XK140. Alongside these beautiful classics sat the new line up of Jaguar cars all designed by Ian Callum: the XK, the XF and the All-New stunning Jaguar XJ.
The event was attended by senior executives including Ashok Kanna (CEO of Al Tayer Motors), Robin Colgan (Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover MENAP) and Mick Razza (Director of Overseas Operations Jaguar Cars ltd), as well as over 150 VIP guests and Jaguar enthusiasts.
Said Robin Colgan, Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover MENA: “At Jaguar, we have dedicated the last 75 years to building beautiful fast cars. Last night’s event was a celebration of this, and we look forward to continuing to deliver on this mission in the future, along with our UAE importer partner Al Tayer Motors.”
