Aston Martin Launches First Dealership in Oman
Signalling the company’s first dealership in Oman, British luxury sports cars brand Aston Martin has opened a new showroom in Oman’s capital, as the demand for luxury cars across the Gulf region continues unabated.
Al Muhannad Al Hashar – Aston Martin Oman showroom – brings the total number of Aston Martin dealers in the GCC to seven, with the new Muscat branch located in the vibrant Al-Sarooj district.
Attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony were the Chairman of the Board of Al Muhannad Al Hashar – Sheikh Al Muhannad bin Saeed Al Hashar, the CEO – Mr. Sultan Bin Surour Bin Mohammad Al Kharousi, together with senior management from the Aston Martin team.
Dr. Ulrich Bez, CEO of Aston Martin, said that this was the right time to be launching in Oman with strong local demand for luxury sports cars. “The new dealership in Oman is a strong stop towards our further expansion in the Middle East. Naturally, we are delighted to be represented in Oman and look forward to a successful partnership with Al Muhannad Al Hashar.”
For his part, Sheikh Al Muhannad bin Saeed Al Hashar said he was delighted that his company was representing such a globally renowned brand. “Aston Martin personifies the pinnacle of the luxury sports car market and we look forward to building up a strong customer following in this country, where there is already strong interest in the brand,” he added.
Incorporating the British marque’s key retail branding, the new Aston Martin showroom offers a private display area of 300 sq.m and has been designed to house the full Aston Martin model range including the V8 and V12 Vantage, DB9, DBS and new four-door Rapide. The new dealership is open for business from 10th August 2010.
