Lexus LX 470 2003-2007 models U.S. recall

The hits just keep on coming for Toyota, as they’ve announced yet another recall, this time covering 39,000 Lexus LX 470 4x4s built between 2003 and 2007.

Toyota says that “a snap ring that retains two sections of the steering column can get dislodged following a heavy impact on the front wheels, such as hitting a severe pothole. Without the snap ring in place, using the steering can result in the column working itself free.”

No accidents have resulted from this potential problem. A redesigned snap ring will keep the part in its place. Lexus LX 470 owners in the U.S. will receive free repairs from local dealers. We assume the recall will also be conducted in Saudi Arabia, UAE and the GCC as well, since all Lexus Land Cruisers come from the same factory in Japan.

What do you think?

  1. How has Toyota/Lexus recent vows affected it’s resale value in M.E. Has the resale value of Ford/Chevy gone up.

  4. recall recall and recalled only….
    all boring

  5. Everyday thousands of Landcrusiers or thrown on desert rocks and dunes, you can feel the suspension travel and hitting the frame during desert safari, no Landcrusier has ever gone wrong, nor did we hear any such problems from safari drivers..Both front and rear wheels take the brunt with 6 people abroad and weight of vehicle and mods itself… maybe Toyota itself doesn’t know whats going on….

  6. Interesting conspiracy theory: perhaps it’s some sort of twisted reverse publicity stunt. Ever heard of putting fictitious miscellaneous expenses in the books?

  7. luexs is very gooooooood car ,,
