Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG upgraded for 2011

With the new 5.5-litre supercharged V8 ready to make its way into every AMG vehicle, Mercedes-Benz hasn’t abandoned the “6.3” naturally-aspirated 6.2-litre V8 yet. The 2011 Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG has been given a bump up in horsepower as well as upgraded interior materials.

The 2011 E 63 AMG will have an extra 11 hp, due to some tuning. That raises the total figure to 525 hp, with 630 Nm of torque, with claims that they have improved fuel efficiency by 12%, at 12.6 litres/100 km. The 0-100 kph run is done in 4.5 seconds, with a limited top speed of 250 kph.

For the interior, the dash and door panels will now come standard in previously-optional Artico leather, and the centre console will be in a piano-black lacquer finish. All sorts of other add-ons remain optional, such as 19-inch light-alloy wheels, lip spoiler, Nappa leather, ceramic brakes, rear 40% locking diff and even AMG floor-mats.

Keep track of UAE prices and GCC specs in the Mercedes-Benz E-Class buyer guide.
