Tata Motors showcases Tata Starbus Skool and Tata Xenon at India show

Tata Motors has showcased two of its latest innovations at the ‘Made in India Show at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, UAE, which opened here today. The vehicles exhibited are the Tata Starbus Skool, an ideal school transportation solution for students and Tata Xenon, a vehicle with the perfect blend of looks and performance.

Tata Starbus Skool: A combination of safety and comfort, Starbus is the latest offering from the Tata Motors-Marcopolo joint venture. Fully approved by Road Transport Authority (RTA), Starbus Skool is a passenger – friendly, safe and sleek in design with contemporary looks and offers various seating configurations to suit every business need.

It is the only bus of its kind, with special ‘child-safety’ features. The Starbus Skool incorporates more than 19 essential features, from the many other prescribed by the Government. These features include tooth-guards, guardrails, semi-sliding windows, a door with an alarm, anti-skid floors, retractable lower first step (available in the 52-seater), high-comfort soft cushion, dual tone seats, soft arm rests, school bag rack, water bottle hanger, stop switches on each window pillar, emergency exit doors and much more. The bus is also provided with a tubular, swing-type guardrail, a giant one-piece windscreen and 2-way adjustable, reclining seat with a seat belt, which provide the driver with a high level of comfort and visibility. Power steering, both tilt and telescopic type, and automated manual transmission (6-speed cable shift) make maneuverability easy. Powered with a new generation Tata 3-litre DICOR BS-IV compliant engine the Starbus Skool is available with 17-seater, 32-seater and 52-seater options.

Tata XENON: A vehicle that loves camera and action, the Tata Xenon is a perfect blend of looks and performance. Its flared wheel arches and aggressive frontal styling gives it an imposing, distinctive, modern, and aggressive look. Sturdy, powerful and hardworking, to the Xenon, performance comes naturally.

Tata Xenon comes with a 2.2 Ltr and 3.0 Ltr Water cooled, Direct Injection Common Rail (DICOR), Turbocharged Intercooled Diesel Engine with EGR and 2.1 liter Petrol Engine.. This lifestyle 4-door, 5-seater pick-up combines stylish on-road presence, now even more accentuated with a chrome plated grill and silver roof rails. A new CD/MP3 music system makes the comfortable interiors, accommodating five passengers in two rows, even more enjoyable. ABS and wider 235/R16 tyres sitting on stylish new alloy wheels complement the power and off-roading capability of the vehicle. The Tata Xenon can be customised to suit individual tastes and styles through a wide range of accessories such as bed-liners, fog lamps, canopy, boot lid or rollover bars.
