Rolls-Royce new Regional Director for Middle East
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has today announced that James Crichton, 44, has joined the company as Regional Director, Middle East on 1 June 2010. In his previous role he was Sales and Marketing Director for the BMW Group in the Middle East and based in Dubai.
James has many years of experience in the BMW Group and has worked in a number of roles in the sales and marketing environment. Prior to his current role in Dubai, he was Head of Dealer Development in the Region Asia, Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa & Caribbean, having previously been General Manager Customer Relationship Management and National Sales Manager at BMW Group South Africa. James replaces Peter Schoppmann, who has been appointed to the new role of Regional Director Germany.
“I am delighted to welcome James to Rolls-Royce”, said Jolyon Nash, Director, Sales and Marketing. “With his broad experience I am confident that he is ideally suited to build on the strong foundation established by Peter Schoppmann.’
Last year the Middle East region underpinned its importance for the business of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars- four out of the top ten selling dealers were from the region, globally every fifth Rolls-Royce was sold in the region. This success was driven by sustained demand for the Phantom and the launch of the new Ghost in December. Sales in the first four months 2010 were showing significant growth over 2009.
