Subaru Impreza WRX STI hypertuned by Cosworth
British firm Cosworth, known for creating factory-warrantied hypercars for a wide variety of manufacturers, has now come up with the Subaru Impreza WRX STI CS400 just for the UK market. Said to go up against supercars, the Cosworth Impreza certainly has the numbers to back it up.
The all-wheel-drive CS400 is powered by a 395 hp turbocharged 4-cylinder with 539 Nm of killer torque. Modifications include new pistons, connecting rods, turbocharger, exhaust system, ECU mapping, lowered Eibach suspension with Bilstein shocks, AP brakes and a 12 mm wider track for the 18-inch wheels. This modded WRX can do the 0-100 kph run in 3.7 seconds.
Externally, the only visual clues are a different front bumper with mesh inserts and a rear spoiler, seemingly available only in red, silver and dark grey. Only 75 will be made exclusively for the United Kingdom, priced at £49,995 (Dhs 275,000) including their ridiculous 17.5% Value Added Tax.

The effort sounds great… now let’s see how it does against proven heavyweights such as Porsche and Nissan’s GTR.
