AGMC Expands Flagship Showroom in Dubai

AGMC, the exclusive importer of BMW Group vehicles in Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates, has opened the first phase of an AED80 million expansion of its flagship showroom on Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road.

The importer’s original showroom was inaugurated in 1996 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The re-developed facility, covering a total area of 33,000 square meters, features state-of-the-art sales and after-sales facilities, 24 hour Fast Lane Service, a dedicated workshop for BMW 7 Series, X5 and X6 customers and a new car delivery area.

Commenting on the new facility, Stathis I. Stathis, General Manager of AGMC, said: “After a two-year re-development project, we are delighted to be opening the first phase of our new facilities here in Dubai. Over the years, the model portfolio of the three BMW Group brands has expanded and grown in popularity, creating an urgent need for us to develop our facilities to accommodate this growth.

“Our new facility effectively doubles our capacity and will mean that our customers can book their vehicles in for a service the day before they want it done, and pick it up on the same day they drop it off. The new workshop features the most technologically advanced repair and diagnosis equipment in the automotive industry. ”

AGMC will be increasing its workforce by an additional 80 employees to staff the new facility and workshop. The importer will also be opening a new satellite service facility in Deira within the next six months, which will provide a 24-hour Fast Lane Service with a capacity of between 30 to 40 cars per day.

The new BMW ActiveHybrid X6, BMW Gran Turismo and BMW 5 Series models were also previewed at the showroom opening. The arrival of the new BMW 5 Series Sedan is the third new BMW model to be launched this year and is a very different car from the predecessor model in terms of design, comfort and engineering. With its new sporting and elegant design, excellent comfort and the highest standard in efficiency in its class, the new 5 Series is expected to open a new chapter in the model’s impressive success story.
