Rolls-Royce sells strong in the Middle East

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has confirmed a strong performance in the Middle East region in 2009. Worldwide every fifth Rolls-Royce is sold in the Middle East with its 8 dealerships in 6 countries.

Four Middle East dealers are amongst the global top ten dealerships. The UAE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are globally amongst the five largest markets.

“We are very pleased to see the continued success of Rolls-Royce in the region, particularly in view of the challenging economic environment that all manufacturers faced in 2009,” said Peter Schoppmann, Regional Director Middle East of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. He continued, “The current investment in the regional dealer network will allow us to continue to meet, and hopefully surpass, the high expectations of our discerning clientele.”

Demand for all Phantom models continued on a high level, the four door versions (Phantom and Phantom Extended Wheelbase) still stand for the lions share. Every Phantom model, including the convertible Phantom Drophead Coupé and the Phantom Coupé, included an element of Bespoke – the Rolls-Royce programme to further individualise the pinnacle motor car.

The two dealerships with the richest Bespoke specifications worldwide in 2009 were Abu Dhabi and Dubai, which emphasizes the importance of individuality and exclusivity in the luxury segment.

At the end of December the luxury car manufacturer was able to hand over the first Ghosts – the new addition to the model range – to customers in the region.
