Alfa Romeo Giulietta to debut soon

2010 Alfa Romeo Giulietta
Alfa Romeo, the embattled luxo-sport division of Fiat, has revealed the first images of their new 147 hatchback replacement. Dubbed the Alfa Romeo Giulietta, it has brand new architecture, with a rigid yet light structure made of aluminium and high-strength steel and technologies that bring it into the 21st century. It doesn’t look too bad either.

The new Alfa takes on styling cues from the limited-production 8C supercar as well as the recent MiTo supermini. The front headlamps and rear lights implement LED technology, and the concealed rear door-handles are retained from the 147. The cabin gets aluminium element accents and switches, as well as an available leather treatment.

The Alfa Romeo Giulietta has an adjustable driving experience, with three selectable set-ups — Dynamic, Normal and All-Weather — available. This device is standard across the entire range of the new model, and modifies the operating parameters of the engine, the steering system and the Q2 electronic differential, in addition to fine-tuning the stability control system behaviour.

Four turbo engines will be available at launch, all fitted with a standard “Start & Stop” system for reducing consumption and emissions — two petrol engines (120 hp 1.4TB and 170 hp 1.4TB MultiAir) and two diesel engines (105 hp 1.6 JTDM and 170 hp 2.0 JTDM). Later on, the top-of-the-range model will get a 235 hp 1.75TBi engine with an exclusive “Quadrifoglio Verde” configuration.

Even if it sells in the smallest of quantities in the UAE, expect the GCC-spec Alfa Romeo Giulietta to become available by the summer of 2010.

Keep track of the latest prices and updates in the UAE, KSA & GCC in the Alfa Romeo Giulietta buyer guide.

  1. I believe alfa is the only carmaker that still builds good looking mainstream cars… They got alot of nice character, design and touches… If only they sort out their reliability issues which is unlikely especially with the introduction of more electronics..

  2. Have u seen the MIto is Ewwww…

  3. Alfa romeo BELISSIMA

  4. Nice car

  5. such a beautiful car as beautiful as the mito but any news about the price?

  6. Please send us a Giulietta with at least 235hp, keep the price within bounds and you’ll never have any trouble selling all of them. One thing is necessary though, give the Alfa Giulietta a sound, a real Italian sound that would make them worthwhile owning again.

  7. Does anyone know the prices for the Alfa Giulietta?

Also, is there stock held in the UAE delaer or is it a factory order?
