Infiniti M 2011 debuts in pictures

2011 Infiniti M
Infiniti showed off images of the next-generation 2011 Infiniti M luxury sedan at the 59th Annual Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance show in the United States. This is actually the third generation of Infiniti’s M, though it has only been on sale in the GCC for the last few years in its second-generation form.

The new-generation design will be offered with new V8 and V6 engines. The 2011 M models will be designated the Infiniti M56 and Infiniti M37 respectively. The M56 gets a 5.6-litre V8 with more than 400 hp, while the M37 will likely have a 330 hp 3.7-litre V6.

The 2011 Infiniti M also features a completely redesigned body inspired by the Infiniti Essence concept car, though with liftback-style side-windows, it may still have trouble finding a market in the UAE, alongside the slightly-smaller G37 sedan.

The 2011 M will gets all of Infiniti’s current technology, such as the around-view parking camera system and central LCD computer, with a new blind-spot intervention system. This “industry-first” system is designed to help alert the driver if another vehicle is detected in an adjacent lane during an intended lane change, and then help “assist” the driver in returning the vehicle back into the original lane of travel, which could be a bit of an annoyance.

The 2011 Infiniti M, which is scheduled to go on sale across the world starting from spring 2010, was revealed in a unique “video mapping” process with “virtual” M, created in 3D form, shown at the U.S. presentation. The 2011 Infiniti M will make its official public debut later this year.
