2010 BMW X3 launching by end of 2009
Shown here is what the 2010 BMW X3 is expected to look like, as rendered by a German magazine. The 2010 X3 will have a lower roof height than the current model, and will follow the X5’s rounded styling theme. It will debut by the end of 2009.
The new BMW X3 will be a more dynamic performance-oriented “Sports Activity Vehicle” and it will have mostly larger dimensions than the current model. It will offer more cabin space and cargo room than the current generation.
All the electronic gadgets seen in other recent BMW models will make their way into the 2010 X3 as well, starting with the Night Vision System, Head-Up Display and continuing with Adaptive Headlights. The interior design has supposedly been drastically improved.
Two petrol engines will be offered, along with four diesel choices elsewhere. The petrol engines will most likely be the 3.0-litre inline-6 and the twin-turbo 3.0-litre inline-6.
The X3’s base price is expected to be increased as well due to the introduction of the smaller BMW X1.
Keep track of changes to the model, as well as local prices and specs, in the BMW X3 buyer guide.
