Overview
The Indica is an outdated hatchback launched in India back in 1998, spawning variants such as the Indigo sedan and the Indigo Marina station wagon. They went on sale in the GCC for the first time from 2008 onwards, but only in select countries such as Saudi Arabia. The Indica and Indigo were considered India's first indigenously-developed passenger cars. In reality, the engine and engineering came from within India, but the exterior styling was largely handled by an Italian design firm. Italian styling would've been cool if it wasn't out-of-date by a decade. The five-seater is powered by a 1.4-litre 4-cylinder engine that is consumes less fuel than larger cars in general, but nowhere near as efficient as modern Japanese subcompacts.
