2021 Mazda MX 5 RF

The MX-5, also known as the Miata, is a popular rear-wheel-drive roadster from Mazda. Completely overhauled for the 2016 model year, this purebred sports car is now powered by an all-new SkyActiv-G 2.0-litre four-cylinder motor, and mated to a 6-speed SkyActiv-Drive automatic transmission with paddle-shifters. There is a 6-speed manual variant available elsewhere, which is not offered in the GCC at the moment. Featuring the usual soft-top passed down from its predecessors, there is also a retractable hard-top variant known as the MX-5 RF (Retractable Fastback) available from 2017 model year. Besides a few kilos of weight, there are no significant differences between the soft and hard top variants, even in terms of performance.
