The LX 470 offers luxurious comfort with outstanding off-road capability, but it is so obviously based on the Toyota Land Cruiser that few both to upgrade to this Lexus version. The eight-seater LX 470 is powered by a 4.7-litre V8, mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. The LX is available as one fully loaded model, with full-time four-wheel drive, a locking center differential and four-wheel traction control. It also comes with an adaptive suspension with variable-rate damping and adjustable height control, and big tyres on 18-inch alloy wheels. Standard is a leather interior, automatic climate control front and rear, power seats, door locks, windows and moonroof, a DVD-based navigation system, reverse camera, keyless entry and a Mark Levinson stereo system with a six-disc DVD/CD auto changer, automatic sound leveling and a separate rear-seat controls. Active safety features include Vehicle Stability Control, ABS brakes and traction control, as well as six airbags.
