2009 Hummer H3

The H3 is the smallest addition to the Hummer line-up. Based on the Chevrolet Trailblazer platform, it is a midsized, five-passenger 4WD wagon that carries the military design cues and off-road capabilities of the Hummer H1, but puts them in a smaller and ultimately more affordable package. For 2009, a pickup version with a longer wheelbase was added, dubbed the H3T, which can fit a dirt-bike or two in its sizeable bed. The H3 and the H3T provide a good level of off-roading equipment, with some luxury features to boot, and at a very good price. All models come with a 3.7-litre five-cylinder engine, with a standard 5-speed manual or an optional 4-speed automatic. The 5.3-litre V8 engine finally became available in the summer of 2009 for the H3 wagon, mated to a 4-speed automatic.
