2009 GMC Terrain

The first ever GMC-badged compact 4WD isn't even a real GMC. The Terrain is a Korean product sold in Europe as an Opel and in America as a Saturn. However, it does complete the local range, giving GMC dealers their very own small soft-roader. The Terrain is available in SLE and SLT trims, while available engines include a 2.4-litre 4-cylinder and a 3.2-litre V6, both with a standard 5-speed automatic transmission offering rudimentary manual shifting capability. All-wheel-drive is standard, but there is no low-range gearing. Unlike its longer Chevy cousin, the Captiva-based Terrain seats five and does not offer third-row seating. However, the rear seat folds flat to extend the cargo area.
