The Ford Explorer got a facelift in 2016, as well as slight trim changes. It is a crossover with a unibody structure and road-biased demeanour. The 2019 Ford Explorer is available with a turbocharged 3.5-litre V6 model, in addition to the 3.5-litre V6, both engines mated to a 6-speed manually-shiftable automatic, with the base model getting front-wheel-drive and the rest getting full-time all-wheel-drive with no low-range gearing. There are four trim levels.
