Ford Everest 2005 Overview

The Everest will appeal to customers who are ready to consider the purchase of a 4WD product which provides versatile usage, but aren't too concerned about where the vehicle is built or what it is based on. The Everest is positioned under the Explorer in some markets, precisely to meet the needs of this customer group while offering exceptional value for money. The Everest is a midsize 4WD based on the Asian Mazda-based Ford Ranger pickup truck platform and built in Thailand. The 4WD has three-row seating, a 2.6-litre petrol engine and a five-speed manual gearbox. Features include 7-seater capacity, with a slightly higher level for each row of seating, dual climate control a/c system, ABS brakes, seat belts for all seating positions including 3rd row seat, dual airbags, decent off-road capability, a side-hinged tailgate, tailgate-mounted spare tyre, standard audio system with a CD player, MP3, tweeters and additional speakers, power windows, power doorlocks and power plug-in points for TVs, fridges and Playstations. Not very fast though.
