2000 Ferrari 360

The 360 is a mid-engined two-seater sports car, designed as a high-tech replacement for the simplistic F355, while itself being replaced by the F430 for 2005, effectively giving the 360 the short shelf-life. For this model, occasionally known as the F360, Ferrari partnered with Alcoa to produce an all-aluminium space-frame chassis. Also new was the Pininfarina styling that gave up flip-up headlights, replacing them with rounded fixed units. The new 3.6-litre V8 engine came with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed F1-style automanual. The cabin was sparse on gadgets, but the basics were standard, including leather, CD stereo, power windows, electric mirrors, front airbags, ABS brakes, and stability control.
