Overview
The Chevrolet Camaro Convertible received a facelift for the 2014 model year. Aside from the pointier front-end, the generic tail lamps, the functional new bonnet vents and optional Recaro seats, there aren't any other visible changes. Powered by a 3.6-litre V6 or a 6.2-litre V8, it rides on a shortened rear-wheel-drive Lumina SS platform, with four-wheel independent suspension and 2+2 seating. The Camaro comes in V6 LT and V8 SS trims. The V6 is only available with a 6-speed paddle-shifted automatic in the GCC. The SS gets a choice of two V8 engines, each customised for use with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. The automatic V8 features cylinder deactivation to improve fuel economy. StabiliTrak traction control and front-side airbags are standard, while Brembo brakes are available on the SS version.
