Overview
The Cadillac XT5 debuted in 2017 as an all-new model and is considered a luxury midsize crossover. Under the hood, it gets a 3.6-litre V6 engine, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The V6 engine features cylinder deactivation and engine stop/start when idle to improve fuel economy. A 2.0-litre turbocharged engine debuted in the 2020 model year. The all-wheel-drive is powered by a "twin-clutch" system which is capable of sending 100-percent torque to the front or rear axle. Standard features include power windows, power mirrors, LED headlights and tail lamps and fog lamps. Optional equipment include Cadillac's CUE entertainment system with BOSE speakers, magnetic ride control, alloy wheels and adaptive forward lighting. Safety features include ABS and traction control, sensors to warn driver of potential dangers, safety seat alert which sends immediate impulse through the seat cushion from the direction of the potential hazard.
