Overview
An all-new BMW X5 launched as a 2014 model year. It is slightly wider, longer and lower than the previous model but the wheelbase remains the same. Under the bonnet, the same turbocharged engines are carried over from the previous generation, which is a 3.0-litre inline-6 cylinder unit and a 4.4-litre V8, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. However performance tweaks and use of lighter weight materials for the body makes this X5 faster and more fuel efficient than the previous model. Features for the X5 include roof rails and panoramic moonroof, optional iPod / USB adapter interface, Active Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Lane Departure Warning, Active Steering, running boards, Head-Up Display, 4-zone automatic climate control, rear seat entertainment system, side-view cameras, top-view camera, Nappa leather seats, leather-covered dashboard, full keyless entry, and smartphone integration.
