2013 BMW 5 Series

The new-for-2011 BMW 5-Series entered the Middle East market with two inline-6 engines, with more engines on the way later. The base 523i got a 3.0-litre 6-cylinder in 2011, but a new base model, the 520i, was added in 2012 with a lower-tuned turbocharged 2.0-litre 4-cylinder and 8-speed auto, replacing the 523i. The 535i has a turbocharged 3.0-litre 6-cylinder, both mated to an 8-speed automatic with paddle-shifters. A 528i model joined the line-up later with yet another naturally-aspirated 3.0-litre 6-cylinder and 8-speed auto, replaced later by a turbocharged 2.0-litre 4-cylinder by 2012. The 550i with the 4.4-litre turbocharged V8 and 8-speed auto came closer to 2011.
