Expanding their midsize 5-Series line-up, the 5-Series Gran Turismo is supposed to be a coupe-like crossover vehicle that aims to appeal to markets where the 5-Series wagon is ignored. The 'F07' platform features a unique "bi-modal" trunk which may be opened in traditional sedan fashion, or the entire hatch may open like a hatchback.
