2012 Toyota Yaris

This generation of the Toyota Yaris, redesigned for 2012, is slightly longer than before, but retains its sub-compact proportions. Available as a hatchback, it comes standard with a carryover 1.3-litre engine mated to a basic 4-speed automatic. From 2013, they started selling the 1.5-litre engine as well. More spacious than before, the Yaris is being offered in only two trim levels for most GCC markets. The first trim comes with power windows, electric mirrors, 14-inch steel wheels with hubcaps, 6-speaker CD/MP3 stereo with AUX and USB ports, Bluetooth phone with steering-wheel buttons, power steering, keyless entry, fabric seats, 60:40 folding rear seats, manual a/c, ABS, whiplash-reducing front headrests and two front airbags. The second trim level adds a leather steering wheel, 15-inch alloy wheels, rear spoiler, fog lamps and a "tonneau" cover. Additionally, the suspension has been retuned and the front stabiliser bar has been enlarged to improve handling.
