Toyota tacks on the Land Cruiser badge on up to three of their 4WD models, including a pickup, but there is only one true Land Cruiser that everyone knows and loves for reasons unknown. The Land Cruiser five-door wagon remains at the top of the heap in sales when it comes to luxury and off-road capability, but not necessarily because it is best at either. It is still one of only a few truly legendary off-road vehicles. Few vehicles offer the off-road capability of the Land Cruiser, and fewer still combine this with its level of luxury. The Land Cruiser comes with the choice of a 4.5-litre six-cylinder with either a five-speed manual or a four-speed auto, and a new 4.7-litre V8 and a five-speed auto.
