2007 Peugeot 407

The 407 is an oddity in the midsize car segment, with bold styling that puts form over function. The exterior features a long hood and a compact trunk, all of which compromises interior space. Available in four-door sedan, two-door coupe or five-door station wagon body styles, there are at least three engines littering the range. The entry level engine is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine combined with a 4-speed automatic with tiptronic sequential control. Then there is a 2.2-litre four-cylinder engine with a 4-speed automatic gearbox. Manual gearbox models have been discontinued here. The top model is a 3.0-litre V6 engine with variable valve timing, combined with an all-new 6-speed automatic gearbox with tiptronic.
