Overview
The redesigned Jaguar XK was the long-awaited successor to Jaguar's
sports car franchise back in 2007. For 2010, the Jaguar XK Coupe is powered by a new 5.0-litre V8 direct-injection engine, while a new supercharged version of the same V8 powers the high-performance XKR. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. Other changes include a new front bumper, new side mirrors with integrated LED side repeater, rear bumper spoiler, rear LED lights and colour-coded side vents. Its rigid chassis and the latest CATS adaptive suspension aim for a smooth ride and sporty cornering. Standard equipment includes DVD navigation, keyless entry and keyless start, a seven-inch video display, Bluetooth capability, cruise control, a 6-CD/MP3
player, rear park assist, cruise control, and electronic parking brake. Options include adaptive cruise control with a forward-alert system that
sounds an audible warning, full soft leather upholstery, and a CD stereo system....

Known Problems
All 2010 models manufactured from June 27, 2009 to March 10, 2010 suffer from corrosion of the power-assist steering (PAS) pipes that may lead to power-steering fluid leaking into the engine area, so a recall was issued to replace the power steering fluid pipes with better parts. In all models, the in-tank electric fuel pump may not be correctly activated, as the fuel pump relay is not energised following a vehicle start up cycle, so an inadequate supply of fuel to the engine could result, and fuel starvation to the engine leads to engine stumble followed by engine cut-out with minimal warning, so the issue was covered in another recall. Check all electronics are working.
