Overview
An all-new GMC Sierra was released as a 2014 model year. Exterior-wise, the styling carries pretty much the same DNA as the previous model but the new front fascia seems more imposing now. That is because they have added bigger headlights and a huge grille. GM consciously kept the design similar as, unlike the UAE where big pickup trucks are more of a statement, in the U.S. market it is a high volume seller among conservative buyers. A Z71 package is available which includes stronger shocks, front tow hooks and extra under-body protection. The interior is where the main changes will be, with the new 4.2-inch display on the dashboard. More soft-touch material has been added around the cockpit. The new Sierra pickups will have 12-volt outlets, five USB ports and a SD-card slot. A new 4.3-litre V6 engine adds to the family of 5.3-litre and 6.2-litre V8 motors.
