2006 Ford GT

Ford decided to build this uber-expensive mid-engine supercar to celebrate the Blue Oval's Centennial. The Ford GT is to be built for two or three years in a limited run. Powered by a massive 5.4-litre V8, it is fitted with a six-speed manual transmission and capable of speeds in excess of 300 kph. It lacks the amenities of a Ferrari V12 cruiser, but it is supposedly comfortable and accommodating for a high-performance sports car. It does however outperform many Ferrari models that cost more than the GT, so the price is considered a bargain by many. There is no trunk to speak of so it can't be your only car, which is a shame. Standard features include air conditioning, AM/FM/CD/MP3 two-speaker stereo, tilt-and-telescope steering wheel, power windows, seats and mirrors, leather trim, keyless remote, and textured rubber floormats.
