2005 BMW X5

BMW's American-built 4WD comes in three models in this region, namely the 3.0i with a 6-cylinder engine, the 4.4i with a V8, and the 4.8is with a bigger V8. Debuting in 2000 and receiving a facelift in 2004, the X5 has all-wheel drive without low-range gearing, but does come with ABS and traction control. The 3.0i offers manual and automatic transmissions, but the V8 models only come with an automatic. The automatics do have a manual shift gate, but they are still essentially automatics. Standard on V8s and optional on the 3.0i are load-leveling suspension, leather upholstery, front and rear obstacle detection, and steering-linked xenon headlights. Other available features include adjustable ride-height suspension, heated rear seats, navigation system and sunroof.
