2018 Alfa Romeo 4C

The Alfa Romeo 4C is a return to form for a company that prides itself on its sporting heritage, although it is a mass-market product by no means. The Italian carmaker's new sports car is revolutionary for its price bracket, with a carbon-fibre tub chassis, a mostly-aluminium hybrid rear frame, and composite body panels, all to keep its weight to a minimum. That means a small 1.75-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged engine is enough to give it near-supercar performance. The 4C is equipped with a 6-speed "TCT" dual dry-clutch transmission using gearshift paddles. It also has an Alfa 'DNA' dynamic control selector which controls the behavior of engine, brakes, throttle response, suspension and gearbox. There is even a "Race" mode.
