Overview
The second generation Volkswagen Tiguan came as a 2017 model. It's 60mm longer, while the wheelbase has stretched by 77mm as a result of moving the front and rear axles closer to the extremities of the car. Width, too, is expanded by 30mm, when compared to the previous generation. In 2021, it got a facelift. There are two 4-cyinder turbocharged engines in the 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan, one a 1.4-litre and the other a 2.0-litre but available in two different states of tune. The front-wheel-drive 1.4 engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic 'DSG' gearbox, whereas the all-wheel-drive 2.0 gets the 7-speed 'DSG' gearbox. The 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan has seating for five, with a split-folding 60:40 rear bench, and has multiple position settings for the seatback.
