Overview
The 308 is a completely new version of the outgoing 307, and is available in 3-door and 5-door versions, both in hatchback trim. The 308 SW wagon debuted in 2009, while a hard-top convertible 308 CC model came in 2010. Two 1.6-litre engines were initially available, one naturally-aspirated and one turbocharged. The CC came only with the turbo engine. All versions come with an automatic gearbox, with only the basic 5-door
non-turbo model getting a manual. Later on, the 3-door 308 GT quietly became available, with an upgraded 1.6-litre turbo and a 6-speed manual. Even the most basic model gets driver & passenger airbags, ABS brakes with EBD, trip computer, CD player with remote stalk, speed-sensitive power steering, electric windows and mirrors, cooling vent inside the glove compartment, height-adjustable headlights, split-folding rear seats, remote key with central locking, and 15-inch wheels.
