2006 Nissan Murano

The Murano attempts to combine the smooth ride and responsive handling of a car, the cargo space of a wagon, and the high driving position of a 4WD, and it succeeds on all counts. What it loses out on is off-road ruggedness, though that matters to few buyers. The Murano can be considered a crossover vehicle, with its 4WD looks and car-like drive, but we'll leave the 4WD classification for vehicles which truly cannot be categorised anywhere. The Murano delivers decent performance, thanks to the same 3.5-litre V6 engine that is used in the 350Z sports car, but detuned and mated to an CVT automatic gearbox in this application.
